As a writer, Michael is most known for his work creating the award winning series, Interested In. Seasons 1 and 2 were official selections at 12 film festivals, including Frameline. Season 2 was a recipient of a 2022 NYC Women’s Fund Grant and was nominated for a Queerties Award. The series has over 23 million views and 55K subscribers on YouTube. It's been featured in HuffPost, Queerty, NewNowNext, and Gayety, among others. Michael's short film, Boys Will, was a semifinalist in Diverse Voices, WeScreenplay, and Big Apple Film Festivals. His playwriting has been produced in NYC and regionally.

He is passionate about telling LGBT-centered stories that explore sexual identity and shame, break down stigma, and celebrate queer joy.
