WRITER
As a writer, Michael is most known for his work creating the award winning series, Interested In. Seasons 1 and 2 were official selections at 12 film festivals, including Frameline. Season 2 was a recipient of a 2022 NYC Women’s Fund Grant (dir. Erica Rose) and was nominated for a Queerties Award. The series has over 25 million views and 58K subscribers on YouTube. It's been featured in HuffPost, Queerty, NewNowNext, and Gayety, among others. Michael premiered his One Woman Drag Show Today You Are A Man! at the Tank in 2024. His short film, Boys Will, was a semifinalist in Diverse Voices, WeScreenplay, and Big Apple Film Festivals. His playwriting has been produced in NYC and regionally.
