DIRECTOR
As a director, I aspire to help other outsiders fit in and find acceptance. Directing allows me to tell the stories of groups of people that often lack a voice. I aim to break down prejudice, challenge preconceived notions, and illustrate the similarities between disparate groups. I want to give people a way to communicate so that they can gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for one another.
I am passionate about directing work that centers on the queer experience, explores personal identity, breaks down stigma, and expands representation. I aim to develop new plays and reinvent classics to broaden the representation of the multifaceted LGBT experience.
I have directed all over New York City and regionally. Most notably, I assistant directed Joe Calarco at the Signature Theatre and Mark Shanahan at the Hangar Theatre. SDCF Observer. Hangar Theatre Lab Director. BA in Directing, Muhlenberg College.
